Last week, an exciting virtual reality smartphone – the Protruly Darling VR phone was brought to our attention. The smartphone is the first to come equipped with a built-in 360-degree camera, which allows the device take 360-degree panorama videos, photos and broadcast 360-degree live virtual reality streaming.
Pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the Protruly Darling VR has two protruding 13MP wide-angle cameras. The phone captures from both cameras and uses special algorithm to stitch together the output in about 0.02 second for real time viewing experience.
It has a metallic body build, 5.5″ Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D glass panel and powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. It has Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano), supports 4G LTE-A networks with VoLTE and uses the USB Type-C port.
It also has Bluetooth 4.0, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and backed by a 3560mAh battery. The standard Protruly Darling VR Phone is priced starting at $600 while a reportedly Gold and Diamond encrusted luxury version costs $1300.
