Some days ago, words leaked out about two upcoming phones from Samsung in a new Galaxy O series range. Those two new smartphones are dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Grand On (SM-G550) and Samsung Galaxy Mega On (SM-G600).
As expected both smartphones have some specs in common but also differ in some major aspects. Both device comes with Dual SIM slots, run same Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and sports HD display, however, they have different processors, rear camera, screen sizes, RAM sizes and battery capacity.
Starting with the Samsung Galaxy Grand On, it features a 5-inch HD display, powered by a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor cocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage space and a microSD card slot.
Other specs of the Galaxy Grand On includes – front facing 5MP camera, rear 8MP camera with flash, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and is backed by a 2600mAh battery. It measures 142 x 71.9 x 8.5mm in dimensions and weighs 140 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega On is up next with a 5.5-inch HD display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal space and a microSD card slot.
It sport a 13MP main camera with flash, a front facing 5MP camera for selfies, and supports Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n and 3G connectivity options. The Galaxy Mega On measures 151.8 x 77.5 x 8.2 mm in dimensions, weighs 145 grams and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
There is no official confirmation from Samsung for the above but as always there is no smoke without fire somewhere. Both device could be nearing a potential release date and the IFA could be the venue, so watchout for this.
