Qihoo 360, the other half of the QiKU brand has announced a new affordable mid-range LTE smartphone into the Chinese market. Dubbed the Qihoo 360 F4 (or the QiKU F4), the metal-clad 5-inch device supports LTE connectivity and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with 360 OS ontop.
Powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU; the Qihoo 360 F4 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 178-degree viewing angle, front facing 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a rear facing 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture.
The Fingerprint sensor sits below the main camera on the rear; it unlocks the device in 0.4 second and perform other functions such as acting as a camera shutter button and used in calling a speed dial. Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Measuring 142 x 77 x 9.3mm in dimensions and weighing in at 155 grams; the Qihoo 360 F4 has Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Nano + nano/MicroSD) and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. The 2GB RAM model with 16GB built-in storage costs CNY 599 (US$ 92) while the 3GB RAM model with 32GB built-in storage costs CNY 799 (US$ 123).
Both RAM models are available in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and White colour options. Registration for flash sales commences immediately while sales are opened from March 25th.
