Qiku announces Q Terra Prime, Q Terra Ultimate and Q Luna Youth smartphones

Qiku has embarked on its journey of the smartphone world with three new smartphones – the Qiku Q Terra Prime (Qiku Prime), Qiku Q Terra Ultimate (Qiku Flagship) and the Qiku Q Luna Youth (Qiku Youth). All three smartphones are priced at CNY 3599 ($563), CNY 1999 ($313) and CNY 1199 ($187). 

The Q Terra (Prime and Ultimate) and the Q Luna Youth all have a fingerprint sensor in common, it is located below the main camera and runs the new 360 OS (based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS) with features such as security center, SMS encryption and more.    

Qiku is a company backed by Chinese smartphone maker, Coolpad and internet security firm, Qihoo 360. Both companies announced partnership back in May and asides selling thier devices in China, the company is also looking to expand selling it devices to India, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil and Turkey. 

Qiku Q Terra Prime (Qiku Prime)

Starting with the highest of the trio – the Qiku Q Terra Prime; it sports an ample sized 6-inch display with 2K resolution, a pixel density of 386ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and around 83% screen to body ratio.

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor which has been plagued with issues of overheating but Qiku assures the device is well equipped not to overheat. It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. 

The device has a rear Dual Camera setup – two 13MP f/1.9 cameras and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth and  Wi-Fi Hotspot. 

The Qiku Q Terra Prime is backed by a 3600mah battery which has fast charging; with just 5 minutes of charging gives you up to 10 hours of listening to music or 2 hours of normal usage and the battery takes up to 70 minutes to charge fully. 

Qiku Q Terra Ultimate (Qiku Flagship)

The Qiku Q Terra Ultimate features a 6-inch Full HD display with a pixel density of 397ppi. Under the hood, it is backed the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB internal storage space.

It has the same rear Dual camera (13MP + 13MP) setup and front facing 8MP camera as the Q Terra Prime. Asides the difference in display resolution, processor, RAM and storage, the Q Terra Ultimate has the same specs as the Q Terra Prime. 

Qiku Q Luna Youth

The Qiku Youth (Qiku Q Luna Youth) is the third of the trio with a 5.5-inch Full HD display (403ppi) and is powered by a Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. It has a rear 13MP PDAF camera, a front 8MP camera and backed by a 3000mAh battery.
