Pakistani based company, QMobile has announced a new high-end phablet – the QMobile Noir E8. It is based on the the Gionee Elife E8 which also got launched in Romania as the Allview X2 Xtreme. It is available for a price tag of PKR 45,000 (approx. USD 430).
The QMobile Noir E8 boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box and sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (2K or QHD) and pixel density of 492ppi. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 MT6795 64-bit processor clocked at 2.0GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage space.
The main camera is a 24MP snapper with Dual Tone LED flash and records 4K videos; the front camera is a 8MP snapper for selfies and just below the main camera sits the fingerprint sensor to enhance security performance. The main camera is able to interpolate images up to 100MP via a software feature and there is a dedicated camera button.
For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. Connectivity options available includes – NFC Type A/B, GPS, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, USB OTG and 4G LTE/3G. The QMobile Noir E8 has Dual Micro SIM slots, measures 164.0 × 82.3 × 9.6 mm in dimensions, weighs 207 grams, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Amigo 3.1 UI ontop and is backed by a 3500mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
