Alongside the launch of the Snapdragon 845 platform, Qualcomm Technologies also announced its new Always Connected PCs from its OEM partners – the ASUS NovaGo and HP ENVY x2 at its 2nd annual Snapdragon Technology Summit. Both PCs are part of the company’s push to deliver Windows on Snapdragon devices in collaboration with Microsoft.
The always-on, always-connected ASUS NovaGo is the first ever Windows on Snapdragon device and the world’s first Gigabit capable laptop. The 2-in-1 convertible is expected to arrive by Early 2018 equipped with the Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC platform and full desktop version of the Windows 10 S.
It has a 13.3-inch Full HD screen and lasts up to 22 hours of usage. It also has a battery-saving functions called Connected Standby, which ensures longer battery life (up to 4x – 5x more).
Planned for Spring 2018 release, the HP ENVY x2 2-in-1 PC has a WUXGA+ touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, microSD card slot, USB Type-C port, 13MP/5MP rear and front cameras, dual HP speakers, Bang and Olufsen tuned audio and up to 256GB of storage.
It measures 6.9 mm thin, weighs 1.21 kg and delivers up to 700 hours of standby time on a single charge and 20 hours of Full HD video playback.
