Qumo Quest Defender rugged smartphone debut in Russia

Russian company, Qumo has announced a new rugged Android smartphone for the Russian market. The smartphone in question is the Qumo Quest Defender and is priced at RUB 8127 (€125).

The quest defender has a rubberised shock-proof case that protects it against harsh conditions such as moisture, dust and dirt. It is IP67 certified for water and dust certification and can withstand drop from a ski slope and bicycle. The company tips the device to be used by fishermen, hunters, lovers of extreme sports or outdoor related jobs.  

Moving to the specs, The Qumo Quest Defender features a 3.5-inch IPS resolution display with 480 x 800 pixels WVGA resolution. Under the hood, is a 1.2Ghz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. The device also has a microSD card slot on-board.

Other specs features – 5MP main camera, supports Dual SIM functionality, Bluetooth 3.0, Dual-Band 3G WCDMA, quad-band 2G GSM, GPS, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and 2000mAh battery.
