Chinese company, Ramos has officially announced the Ramos MOS1 – it’s first ever smartphone. The affordable tablet maker cum smartphone maker mentioned that the smartphone would be available by August 10 on JD.com and initial reservations for the device costs – CNY 1999 ($322) in Black, White and Gold colour options.
The Ramos MOS1 is a skilfully and beautifully designed smartphone; it comes with a five sided crystal design with 2.5D glass on both sides and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the 5.5-inch display.
The body build is made from a unibody metallic case which consists of 6063 Aluminium material which on its own is corrosive resistant and tough; also with a little bit of Silicon (0.4 – 0.5%) and Magnesium (0.7 – 0.9%).
The resolution of the display is a (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD one, a pixel density of 401ppi and the display comes with a narrow 1.9mm side bezels which gives it a cutting edge look.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. The MOS 1 has a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera, a front 5MP camera, music lovers would like the Hi-Fi Audio chip that comes with it and there is also support for 4G LTE connectivity.
The Ramos MOS1 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with MOUI 1.0 interface ontop; it is backed by a 3050mAh battery which is made by a well know automobile rechargeable battery maker – BYD. The battery also has fast charging technology thanks to the chipset supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 features.
Ramos is also planning a bigger version of the MOS1 which would have a battery battery (6000mAh), a bigger screen size (6-inches) and it could also have other improvements too. This device is called the Ramos MOS1 Max Version.
