Alongside the new Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, the company’s Redmi sub-brand announced the Redmi K30 Ultra. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 7nm processor with 5G modem for dual mode 5G (NSA/SA) connectivity, and arrives in multiple RAM and storage configuration: 6GB + 128GB for CNY 1999; 8GB + 128GB for CNY 2199; 8GB + 256GB for 2499 and 8GB + 512GB for CNY 2699. Sales commences on August 12 in China.
Available in Midnight Black, Mint Green and Moonlight White colour choices, the Redmi K30 Ultra is built around a 6.67-inch FHD+ E3 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, 100% DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut, in-display fingerprint sensor and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes pre-loaded with MIUI 12 (based on Android 10) and depends on a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
On the rear, the phone has a quad camera setup made up of a primary 64MP (1/1.7″ Sony IMX686 sensor, f/1.69, 7P lens) camera paired with 5MP macro lens, 13MP (119°) ultra-wide-angle and 2MP depth sensor. The phone has built-in multicolour notification LED light, 20MP pop-up selfie camera with 3D sensing feature to detect falls and USB Type-C for charging and audio. The rest of the specs include 3600 triple ambient light sensor, Wi-Fi 6, IR Blaster, NFC, dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Audio Zoom support, and 3.5mm audio jack.
