The LG G3 is one of the most successful smartphone of 2014 and the company made sure we had enough of its so many variants. Like every flagship smartphone there is always a predecessor and a successor; like the LG G3 succeeded the LG G2, the LG G4 is the expected successor of the G3. The device is expected to make its debut at some point in 2015 so we decided to sum up the supposed specs the device is expected to launch with.
LG G4: Specifications and Details
First of all, the LG G4 would definitely run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and has ample time to meet up with the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Soc. Though there have been rumours of LG using its own in-house built octa-core NUCLUN processor but it is a known fact that the company would prefer to stick with the latest Snapdragon SoC then.
The device has the potential to rock 3GB of RAM but with 4GB DRAM expected by early 2015, it is a possibility for smartphones coming then especially the flagship ones. In terms of internal storage – it could come in two internal storage variants – the 32GB and the 64GB variant. There would be a microSD card slot too to provide up to 128GB of extra space.
The LG G4 is rumoured to feature a 20.7-MP sensor with improved OIS on the rear and nothing less than that would be acceptable. The LG G3 sports a 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The device could have a front facing 5MP Camera.
Finally concerning the display, there has been so many speculation – considering the LG G3 featured a 5.5-inch display so it is likely the G4 keeps the same display or have a 5.7-inch display (size would be between 5.5-inch and 5.9-inch). The display would be nothing less than Quad-HD – maybe 4K resolution would do.
The G4 could come with a certification rating (waterproof, dust proof and the likes), could feature a stylus pen (which is internally as the G Pen Stylus and very similar to Samsung’s S Pen. The device could carry a battery capacity between 3500mAh and 4000mAh.
Release Date
The LG G4 has been unofficially speculated to debut around May and August 2015 and this could be true as there is no realistic chance of it debuting before then. Once the device goes official at that said date, it is expected to go on sale afterwards for a reported price between $650 and $750 (off-contract).
Let’s just wait and see how it goes, in the end it could still be all rumours for now.
