Since HARMAN became a subsidiary of Samsung in early 2017, the Korean company has leveraged on the brand’s AKG audio products to sell its own mobile products. The company has added three new headphones – the AKG N700NC, AKG Y500 and AKG Y100 to the collection.
The AKG N700NC over-the-ear headphones costs $350 and features adaptive noise cancellation, which allows the listener to control the amount of surrounding sound to be heard. It takes up to two hours to charge fully and lasts up to 20 hours of battery life.
Priced at $150, the AKG Y500 on-the-ear headphones features multi-point connectivity – this allows the listener pair two Bluetooth connected devices at the same time. It automatically pauses music when the headphones are taken off and lasts up to 33 hours on a single charge.
Out of the trio, the AKG Y100 neckbuds is the cheapest at $100. It also feature ‘Ambient Aware’ technology like the Y500 and lasts eight hours of usage on a single usage. Both the Y100 and Y500 comes in Black, Blue, Green and Pink colours while the N700NC come in Silver only.
The Y100 and Y500 are already available via Amazon, AKG, Samsung, Sprint and US Cellular. The N700NCs will go on sale later this year through AKG, Amazon and Samsung.
