Samsung has announced two new high-end laptops in the company’s premium ATIV series with Windows 10 onboard – the ATIV Book 9 Pro and ATIV Book 9 Spin. Both will sell in the US starting this month for $1599 and $1399 respectively directly from Samsung as well as Bestbuy.
The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro is the the first ever 4K laptop ever from and is the more powerful of the duo. It packs a 15.6-inch 3840 x 2160 pixels 4K touchscreen display, 6th-gen Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor clocked at 2.6GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Other features of the ATIV Book 9 Pro includes – 4k video support, measures 17.8mm thick, weighs about 2 kilograms in size, up to 6.5 hours of battery life, quartet of speakers and USB 3.1 Type-C Port.
The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Spin is less powerful of the duo and thanks to a 360-degree dual hinge, it is convertible and can be used in three different modes – tablet, tent and laptop modes. It packs a sharp looking 13.3-inch 3200 x 1800 pixels QHD+ display, 6th-gen Intel Core i7-6500U (Skylake) processor with Intel HD Graphics 520 and up to seven hours of battery life.
The ATIV Book 9 Spin has the same RAM and SSD storage as the Book 9 Pro at 8GB and 256GB respectively. It measures 15mm thick, weighs about 1.5 kilograms, has a backlit keyboard but doesn’t have the USB 3.1 Type-C port.
