Samsung has announced an Intel processor based Chromebook 2; this model would be available with the Samsung Chromebook 2 announced in march with Exynos 5 Octa processor.
Moving to the specifications, the Samsung Chromebook 2 features a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) resolution display with 200 nits of brightness. It features Intel Celeron Bay trail Processor N2840, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. Other features includes – Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot, dual stereo speakers, HDMI port, 720p webcam, 802.11ac WiFi, USB 2.0 port and USB 3.0 port.
It features the same faux stitched leather padding on the lid, feaures reinforced corners for drop protection, a metal frame around the display and the ports are protected by metal. One feature that sets the Samsung Chromebook 2 is the ‘Get Help’ button which gives users access to instant support from Samsung representatives over the internet.
The chromebook measures 289.56 x 218.44 x 16.76mm, weighs 1.2kg, features a fanless design for silent operation and packs a 4,080mAh battery which provides about 9 hours of battery life. The Samsung Chromebook 2 (Intel Soc model) would be available starting October 24th for a retail price tag of $250.
