Supposed insider reports out of South Korea seems to suggest Samsung would be discontinuing the Galaxy Alpha line of smartphones come February 2015.
ETNews reports states once the current material in the inventory used for producing the smartphone are used up; the company would phase out the Galaxy Alpha Line.
The Galaxy Alpha is one of the prettiest Samsung device available yet with its full metal body but it struggled to match up against competition due to its pricy tag and the battery does not last long enough.
Reports point to the Samsung Galaxy A5 would succeed the Galaxy Alpha with the company aiming for the mid-range sector. The Galaxy A5 also has similar thinness and metal body construction like the Alpha but comes with lesser specs and allows the device to be lesser priced.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 has gone official in China and it is expected to be released in South Korea by January or February 2015. The device is said to be price around 400,000 Korean Won (about $363 or €298).
Samsung would hope the Galaxy A5 would be more successful than the Galaxy Alpha. At the moment, there is no official confirmation from the company so anything could still happen.
