After the much anticipated first acclaimed metal body Galaxy Alpha debuted, several reports forthcoming has revealed that Samsung is looking to extend the Galaxy A series of devices starting with Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500), Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) and possibly the Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A700).
Only the codenames have been confirmed and all three devices have been confirmed to be midrange devices. The Samsung SM-A300 in particular has been spotted on Samsung’s mobile website in form of its UAProf Listing.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) is expected to feature a 64-Bit Snapdragon 401 Soc with four Cortex-A53 CPU cores that clocks at 1.2GHz or 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The device is expected to sport a 4.8-inch (540 x 960 pixels) qHD resolution display, 8GB of internal storage (5GB usable), 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera (both capable of 1080p video recording) and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The device is expected to be a single SIM device with other standard connectivity suites such as GPS, NFC & Bluetooth as well as accelerometer, barometer, light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor options. Concerning the final names, these devices may still change names but for the time being these are the available details the device in question debuts.
