Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 announced with Metal Unibody

Samsung has finally lifted the lid off its new A series range of smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 follows the Galaxy Alpha and has slim designs with full metal unibody.

Both smartphones have a lot in common with the exception of improved specs in some aspects; but basically both device are in the midrange category. Both device runs on a Quad-core CPU, LTE support, Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen. Moving to the differences, the Galaxy A5 rocks 2GB of RAM, a bigger battery at 2300mAh and a 13MP rear camera compared to the 1GB RAM, 1900mAh battery and a 8MP rear camera on the Galaxy A3.

Samsung Galaxy A5

The Galaxy A5 smartphone features a 5.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED, powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion. Other features includes – 13MP rear autofocus camera, front facing 5M camera, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, A-GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE/3G.

Samsung Galaxy A5

The Samsung Galaxy A5 measures 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7mm, weighs 123 grams, packs a 2,300mAh battery and boots Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with TouchWiz UI ontop.

Samsung Galaxy A3

The Galaxy A3 features a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot (up to 64GB). Other features includes – 8MP camera with LED flash, front facing 5MP camera, 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC (LTE version only).

Samsung Galaxy A3

The Samsung Galaxy A3 weighs 110.3 grams, measures 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9mm in dimension, packs a 1900mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with TouchWIZ UI ontop.

Both the Samsung Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A3 would be available in select markets including China starting November 2014 but there is no word on how much the new entries to the Samsung family would cost.

Both smartphones would come available in myriad of colours, including Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold colour option.
