Samsung Unveil Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 Smartphones

Samsung’s online-based March Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event has seen the introduction of three new Galaxy A series smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy A52, Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, and Samsung Galaxy A72. The trio come pre-loaded with Android 11 (One UI 3) and have the same 32MP (f/2.2, 0.8μm) selfie camera, 2.2GHz octa-core CPU, hybrid SIM slots, and IP67 body rating (water and dust resistant).

The Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G have a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with respective 90Hz and 120Hz screen refresh rate, and depend on a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Samsung Galaxy A72 has a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with 90Hz refresh rate and 5,000mAh battery with the same fast charging support. The series offer up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage and supports up to 1TB microSD cards.

Photography on the A52 and A52 5G have a quad rear camera setup is made up of a 64MP (f/1.8, 0.8μm, OIS, AF) primary camera paired with 12MP (f/2.2, 1.12μm) ultra-wide, 5MP (f/2.4, 1.12μm) macro and 5MP (f/2.4, 1.12μm) depth sensors. The Samsung Galaxy A72 has the same quad rear camera setup, however, the depth sensor has been replaced with an 8MP (f/2.4, OIS, 1.0μm) telephoto sensor.

The cameras offer Digital Zoom up to 10x, 3x optical zoom (A72 only), Night mode, AR Emoji and Fun mode. The trio will arrive in Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Violet and Awesome White colours. Samsung expects them to connect to devices such as Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy SmartTag, and Galaxy Tab within the Galaxy ecosystem.
