As we move closer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, the new Galaxy A series smartphones have been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). According to various reports, the duo will be available in the US market along with those in the Middle East, Europe and Russia.
The FCC did not reveal much info other than the existence of these devices, however, a recent benchmark listing suggests the Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, have the codenames – SM-A600FN and SM-A605G respectively, and will arrive with an Infinity display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio, 2220 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and onscreen navigation controls i.e no physical home button.
The Galaxy A6 (5.6-inch) is expected to be powered by the Exynos 7870, the same octa-core SoC present on the Galaxy A3 (2017) and will pack 3GB of RAM while the Galaxy A6+ (6-inch) will be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and pack 4GB of RAM. The duo boots boot Android 8.0 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience 9.0 on top.
Samsung is yet to confirm the launch date of the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, however, it is expected to arrive sooner than later. There is also no word on pricing and availability.
