Few weeks after the launch of the Galaxy A7 (2018) with three rear cameras, Samsung has announced the world’s first rear quad-camera smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). All four are vertically aligned in the upper left corner and a single LED flash sit below them.
The first ultra-wide angle camera combines a 8MP (f/2.4) sensor with 120-degree lens and AI Scene Recognition for Scene Optimizer feature. The next telephoto camera packs a 10MP (f/2.4) AF sensor with 2x optical zoom. The main camera is the third with a 24MP (f/1.7) and the fourth is the depth camera with a 5MP (f/2.2) sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sports a large 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, 3D Glass curved back, microSD card slot (up to 512GB cards), 24MP (f/2.0) selfie camera (same as the Galaxy A7 (2018)), USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0 and rear fingerprint Sensor.
Internally, the device is powered by an unnamed octa-core (2.2GHz quad + 1.8GHz quad) processor paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. It is backed by a 3,800mAh battery and has features such as Samsung Bixby, Samsung Pay, Samsung Health and App Pair.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) will be available in select markets in November arrives in three unique colours: Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black and Lemonade Blue.
