Along with the 2016 editions of the Galaxy J5 and J7; Samsung China also listed up the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) phablet. The latest entrant into the Galaxy A series family is the higher specs variant of the Galaxy A9; it costs CNY 3499 (US$ 539) and comes in Gold, Rose Gold and White colours.
Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro keeps the same mix of metal and glass unibody, sports a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D Curved glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and a pixel density of 367 ppi. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery which supports quick charging.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A9 Pro relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. Photography is handled by a front facing 8MP camera with f/1.9 aperture and rear facing 16MP camera with OIS, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
Connectivity options available includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+ and NFC Type A/B. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has Dual SIM slots (Nano + Nano) and the fingerprint scanner is embedded into the home button.
