Samsung’s April Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event saw the launch of new Galaxy Book series – the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360. Both models feature an ultra-portable design, vivid AMOLED displays, and are designed with compatibility with other Galaxy and IoT devices in mind. They are powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core processors (Core i3/Core i5/ Core i7) with Intel UHD or Iris Xe graphics.
They are verified to the Intel Evo platform and Intelligent Performance Manager feature regulates battery usage, fan noise, and temperature to balance performance and power consumption. They also feature 32GB (LPDDR4x) RAM, up to 1TB (NVMe SSD storage), reengineered Pro keyboard, AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos, fingerprint scanner (home button), 1x Thunderbolt 4, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), Wi-Fi 6E ready and 5G/LTE connectivity support.
Measuring 11.2mm thin and weighing 0.87kg, the Galaxy Book Pro (13-inch) is one of the brand’s mobile Galaxy Books yet. The Super AMOLED displays are Eye Care-certified by SGS and feature Intelligent Color Engine to automatically adjust colour space depending on the task performed. They are built using military-grade 6000-series aluminium and come in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch screen sizes.

The series is backed by long-lasting batteries (63Wh on 13- and 68Wh on 15-inch models) with support for 65W fast charging via USB Type-C. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 has an upgraded S Pen (in-box) for taking notes, sketching with Clip Studio Pain and PENUP and drawing. Samsung has also included in-house features such as Studio mode, intelligent noise cancelling, Screen recorder and Samsung Studio Plus.
The company also teamed up with Microsoft to include feature such as Second Screen, Link To Windows, and Microsoft Your Phone. To induct the series into the Galaxy ecosystem, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and Book Pro 360 will also feature ‘Easy Bluetooth connection’ to connect the Galaxy Buds/Buds Pro; ‘Galaxy Book Smart Switch’ to transfer apps, files, media (photos and videos) and settings from existing Windows PC; and ‘Quick Share’ to allow sharing content between Galaxy Devices.
The series will also serve as a smart home hub for SmartThings integration, thanks to the inclusion of SmartThings app and SmartThings Find on the Galaxy Book Pro series. The Book Pro is available in Mystic Blue, Mystic Gold and Mystic Silver colours while the Book Pro 360 is available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Navy and Mystic Silver options.
