Alongside the new generation of Galaxy Z smartphones and Galaxy Watch4/Watch4 Classic, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Buds2 at its virtual Galaxy unpacked event. The next generation earbuds offer two listening/hearing modes – ‘Active Noise cancellation (ANC)’ to block out all unwanted background noise and adjustable three-level ‘Natural Ambient Sound’ option to hear sounds in the surroundings.
Priced starting at $149.99, the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 has the same design as the Galaxy Buds Pro and replaces the Galaxy Buds Plus in the Galaxy Buds line-up. It is fitted with dynamic two-way speakers (Woofer and Tweeter) for high-quality sound, three microphones (2x outer and 1x inner beamforming) in each bud and a combination of built-in voice pickup (VPU) and machine learning-based solution that ensure the user’s voice stands out during calls. Each ear weighs just 5 grams and are IPX2-rated.
When charged full, they are expected to last up to 5 hours (ANC on) or 7.5 hours (ANC off) of play time and up to 20 hours (ANC on) or 29 hours (ANC off) combined with extra juice from the white case. The case supports both wired (USB-C) and wireless (QI-compatible) charging and connects via Bluetooth. With Auto Switch, the earbuds can switch from one Galaxy devices to the other during usage. It will arrive in Graphite, Lavender, Olive and White colours.
