Samsung has been working on a new series of devices – the Galaxy C series to complement the already existing the Galaxy J and Galaxy A series line. The Samsung Galaxy C series devices are expected to exclusive to the Chinese or could be available only in China at first before other markets.
According to reports, the South Korean company is expected to announce the Samsung Galaxy C Series devices – the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, next month. The existence of the Samsung Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000) has been confirmed by Geekbench benchmark along with some of the specs.
The Galaxy C5 SM-C5000 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 processor clocked at 1.52GHz, 4GB of RAM and boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The specs is likened to the HTC One A9 and the body build will be made entirely of metal compared to the glass plus metal now used on the current Galaxy A Series devices.
Although the benchmark does not confirm other details, the Samsung Galaxy C5 should sport a 5.2-inch display while the Samsung Galaxy C7 could sport between a 5.5- and 6.0-inch display. If Samsung decides to follow the usual route for these device, there could also be a Galaxy C3 with smaller display.
