After months of leaks and what nots, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro has gone on pre-order in China. The smallest variant of the Galaxy C Pro Series device which also includes the C7 Pro and C9 Pro, features a slim metal body build and the fingerprint scanner has been embedded into the physical home button.
Priced at CNY 2499 (US$ 362) on Samsung China’s online shop, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) screen resolution, 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.
It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and comes with support for Samsung Pay (NFC + MST), to make online payments and more. The device has rear and front facing 16MP cameras with f/1.9 aperture and 1080p Full HD video recording @30fps.
Other features include – Dual SIM slots (Hybrid), USB Type-C Port, Always-on display and 4G LTE Cat.6 networks. Measuring 145.7 x 71.4 x 7 mm and weighing in at 145 grams, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro draws energy from a 2600mAh Li-ion battery and arrives in three colour options – Blue, Champagne Gold and Rose Gold.
There is no word on pricing and availability outside China but an international launch could be expected at some point.
