Samsung has quietly listed the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE, a variant of last year’s Galaxy Core Prime on the company’s official website in India. The device is priced at Rs 8990 and is available in Black, Grey and White colours.
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE keeps most of the design and specs as the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime; and the VE in the name means Value Edition. The device now comes with a different processor and Ultra Power Saving Mode has been added to extend battery life.
Powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage, the device sports a 4.5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) WVGA PLS display and supports Dual SIM slots. On the front sits a 2MP camera for selfies, video chats and a main 5MP rear facing camera with LED flash.
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE measures 131.3 x 68.4 x 8.8 mm in dimensions, weighs 130 grams, sports a microSD card slot (up to 64GB). It is backed by a 2000mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode; the guarantees over 1 day of standby time with about 10% of charge remaining.
The device still doesn’t support 4G LTE connectivity, with the options available including – GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+.
