Even though Samsung is looking to reduce its smartphone portfolio by 2015, that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing the mid-range Galaxy Alpha, the Galaxy A series and now we have seen proof that the Galaxy E Series is on the way.
Just last week, we got information on supposed specs of the Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 but we have seen confirmation of the Galaxy E7 specs via GFXBench.
Like what you would expect from any mid-range device, the Samsung Galaxy E7 (SM-E700) packs a 5.5-inch 720p display, powered by a quad-core 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
The rear camera on the Galaxy E7 is tipped at 12MP and there is a 5MP camera on-board. The listing here suggests it would run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS but the information available earlier is it would run Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The above report corresponds with the already available information concerning the Galaxy E7 and the Galaxy E5. Perhaps a disturbing note is that the Galaxy E7 and the Galaxy A7 has very similar specs (if not the same). We are hoping Samsung springs up a different design for the Galaxy E family like it did with the Galaxy A family.
