Weeks after surfacing in various leaks and hands-on appearance, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is now official. While the Flip Smartphone has been listed up on the company’s China website, there is no word on pricing yet and availability outside the host country.
Measuring 122 x 60.2 x 15.4mm in dimensions and weighing in at 160 grams, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 (SM-G1600) sports a primary 3.8-inch TFT display with 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) screen resolution and while there is no secondary display, it is equipped with a T9 numeric keypad.
On the inside, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. It also has Dual Nano SIM slots, runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is backed by a 1950mAh battery (removable).
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with f/1.9 aperture and a front 5MP camera with the same aperture for selfies. Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 includes 4G LTE Cat.4, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n (2.4GHz), micro USB, USB 2.0, GPS, Glonass and Beidou.
