Almost a day after the LG Gentle Flip Phone went official, Samsung has also announced a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Folder Flip Phone in in its home country. The Galaxy Folder would be available in South Korea starting August for a price tag of ₩ 297,000 (equivalent to $250). The chances of the device being available in other regions is Zero.
The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2015 is a not-so upgrade over the Galaxy Folder 2013 which went official in 2013 but it comes with the current latest version of Android which is Lollipop. Moving to the other specs, it sports a 3.82-inch touchscreen display which the resolution is not known and has a very spacious physical buttons (keypad).
On the rear, there is a 8MP camera with LED flash and on the front there is a 2MP camera for selfies. There is 8GB space of internal storage onboard which could be expandable by a microSD card slot. Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G/LTE, Wi-Fi, DMB and Bluetooth. It is backed by a 1800mAh battery.
The press release didn’t give the full information about the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2015 specs; informations like the processor, screen resolution, dimensions and weighs are unknown. However, we do know it would be be selling in South Korea in Dark Blue and White Colour options.
