Samsung has quietly announced the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus in India; the device had already been available in some countries including Spain and Italy. The device is selling for INR 9999 in Black, Gold and White colour options.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo; with little difference in specs but at a more affordable price. The internal storage has gone from 16GB to 8GB, the front camera from 0.3MP to 2MP, the display size from 5.01 to 5.0 inches and the battery now comes with an Ultra Saving Power Mode (USPM).
Talking about the specs in detail – the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus features a 5.0-inch (480 x 800 pixels) WVGA TFT display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card for storage expansion up to 64GB.
The rear camera is a 5MP snapper with LED flash and the front facing camera for selfies and video chats is a 2MP snapper. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, MicroUSB, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and 3G. Sensor options include – Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Magnetometer, and Proximity sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus measures 143.7 x 77.1 x 9.6mm in dimensions, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, and is backed by a 2200mAh battery which provides up to 430 hours of standby time on 3G network.
Samsung also announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge would be getting new colour variants – the S6 has added the Blue Topaz and the S6 Edge has added Green Emerald. Both smartphones launched in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, and Gold Platinum colour options.
