Samsung has announced a new Selfie focussed smartphone, the Galaxy Grand Prime in India. Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime was spotted in Vietnam with detailed specs being spelled out.
The main highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is its 5MP front camera which obviously is used in making video chats and selfies (modern day snapping term). There is also a rear facing 8MP auofocus camera with LED flash and capable of making (recording) 1080p videos.
Other features of the device includes a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS LCD display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 Snapdragon 400 Chipset with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (up to 64GB via microSD card) and a 2600mAh battery powers the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand prime measures 144.8 × 72.1 × 8.6mm, weighs 156 grams, supports Dual-SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Connectivity options on the device includes 3G HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi b/g/n.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is launching by the end of the week in india. The device is available for a suggested retail price of $280 (INR 16000) in Black and White colour option.
