The new Galaxy J3 device which went round couple of days (or weeks) ago, is now official as the Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro. Available at the moment only in China via one of the country’s largest carrier – China Telecom, it costs CNY 990 ($150) and arrives in two colour options.
Disappointedly still running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s UI on top, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720) HD Super AMOLED display although another version on TENAA had a Full HD display. Under the hood sits a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU for graphics, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space.
Backed by a 2650mAH battery, the Galaxy J3 Pro supports has Dual SIM slots, a front facing 5MP camera and rear facing 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity options on-board include – 4G LTE, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.1. Compared to the Galaxy J3 2016 which had 1.5GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage and a less powerful SoC, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro seems to a bit more powerful and has better hardware features.
