The Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 (with the model number: SM-J510x) sports a 5.2-inch display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), resulting in a pixel density of 282ppi.‎ It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The device has 16GB built-in storage space (out of which 11GB is available to the user) and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera and rear facing 13-megapixels camera with AutoFocus and LED flash; both camera record 1080p videos.‎

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 comes along Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.

In comparison with the predecessor, the RAM and Storage have both been increased from 1.5GB and 8GB to 2GB and 16GB. Unless Samsung changes the previous 2600mAh battery capacity to something else (maybe higher or lower) most of the specs should remain the same.  ‎
