Samsung has fulfilled it’s promise of using a single-letter naming system for its system but not the part of reducing the number of device it churns out on a yearly basis. The Samsung Galaxy J series currently has only the Galaxy J1 device; but that is about to change as details has surfaced on new members – the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (SM-J500F) is expected to sport a 5-inch HD LCD display, powered by 64-bit qualcomm snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card is on-board for storage expansion.
The Galaxy J5 measures 8.5mm in thickness, weighs 149 grams and is backed by a 2600mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) is expected to be pushed into the phablet category; it would sport a. 5.5-inch HD LCD display, powered by a an octa-core Marvel PXA1936 processor clocked at either 1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz, 1.5GB of RAM and either 4GB or 8GB space of internal storage. Of course it would have a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Galaxy J7 measures 7.9mm in thickness, weighs around 170 grams and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Both smartphones boot Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, support 4G LTE connectivity and uses a camera combination of 13MP/5MP (or 8MP) on the rear and front respectively.
