Few days ago, news broke that Samsung is set to add new smartphones to the Galaxy J line device which currently has only one device – the Galaxy J1. Both smartphones expected to join the line are the – Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.
While we know most of the specifications to expect from the Samsung Galaxy J5 ( Samsung SM-J500F ); the device has been spotted on GFX Benchmark listing which has added further credibility to the already available information.
The Galaxy J5 (SM-J500F) sports a 5-inch (1280 X 720 pixels) HD LCD display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage (4.7GB user available). There should be a microSD card slot on-board for expansion. On the rear there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP unit for selfies and video chats. Both cameras are capable of recording 1080p videos.
The device is said to be backed by a 2600mAh battery and would boot Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with the company’s TouchWiz UI ontop. The Galaxy J5 is expected to be launched in the summer or coming months as some sources speculate.
