Alongside the familiar Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ smartphones, Samsung India has announced two new additions to the Galaxy J family – the Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8. Both models feature Infinity Displays with thin bezels, polycarbonate unibody design, rear fingerprint sensors and in-display home buttons.
The Samsung Galaxy J6 sports a 5.6-inch HD+ display, Octa-Core Exynos 7870 SoC, rear 13MP (f/1.9) camera and front facing 8MP (f/1.9) camera. While the Samsung Galaxy J8 packs a 6-inch HD+ display, Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, 16MP (f/1.7) + 5MP (f/1.9) dual rear camera and a front facing 16MP (f/1.9) camera.
Both models have dual SIM slots and boot Android Oreo OS with Samsung’s UI on top. There is also a ‘Chat Over Video’ software feature, which allows the user reply messages through a semi-transparent interface while viewing videos.

Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy J6 will be available across our retail stores and Samsung eshop website from May 22 while the Galaxy J8 will be available from July onwards. The J6 is priced at INR 13,990 (US$ 205) for the 3GB + 32GB and INR 16,490 (US$ 242) for the 4GB + 64GB while the J8 will sell for INR 18,990 (US$ 279). Both devices will arrive in Black, Blue and Gold colours.
