Samsung has introduced new Galaxy J series smartphones in India – the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro today at an event in New Delhi, India. The duo will come in Black and Gold colour options, and are priced at Rs. 17,900 (~US$ 279) and Rs. 20,900 (~US$ 325) respectively.
Both the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro feature a slim metal unibody design, Dual SIM slots, fingerprint sensor (home button), 13MP front and rear cameras with LED flashes and bright apertures (f/1.7 back; f/1.9 front). They support 4G LTE connectivity and boot Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Samsung in partnership with Reliance Jio is offering up to 120GB additional data for those who purchase the Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max. The Pro will arrive by mid-July while the Max will go on sale from June 20th.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Max
The 8.71mm thick Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a 5.7-inch FHD IPS LCD display and a 3,300mAh battery. It relies on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It has the Instant Sharing Social Camera and Smart Glow feature and also makes online payments via Samsung Pay Mini (a toned down version of Samsung Pay for devices without built-in NFC).
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is the Galaxy J7 (2017) for the Indian market. It sports a 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage, IP54 Certification (splash proof) and a 3,600mAh battery. It is equipped with a USB Type-C port and makes online payments via Samsung Pay.
