Samsung is not afraid to flood the market with different variants of its flagship smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition has been listed and would be ‘coming soon’ according to the listing on the company’s website.
The Galaxy Note Developer Edition is no different from the Galaxy Note 3 Developer Edition or the Galaxy S5 Developer Edition; the developer edition. has an unlockable bootloader which allows developers tinker with the device; allow the installation of custom ROMS, and let’s users remove whatever restriction that they feel they don’t want on the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition has been listed with a $662.53, which is $30 less than Verizon is selling the non-developer version ($692.53). There is no word on if the Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition would be available on other carriers in the US; there are high chances that the device would stay exclusive to Verizon and available in only Charcoal Black edition only.
For users wondering, the Developer Edition has the same specs as the original Galaxy Note 4 and just yesterday the company also launched the Galaxy Note 4 Duos in China.
The device is still subject to FCC approval but would be available in the US on the ‘Big Red’ network – Verizon Wireless anytime soon.
