Couple of week ago, word came in that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy Note 5 would likely come with flexible screens. While that is unconfirmed, new details have surfaced on the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Note Edge successor which is codenamed – Project Zen.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to use a 2K or 4K resolution Super AMOLED display with the company still undecided for which one to go for. The Note 5 is expected to be powered by the in-house made Exynos 7422 processor while some other units are being tested with the Exynos 7430 processor.
The former is an upgrade over the Exynos 7420 used on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge while the latter is an entirely new chipset which is uncertain to be in mass production by then. The Exynos 7422 will take the honour of being the first chipset from Samsung to pack the CPU, GPU, RAM, modem and storage in one piece.

The other device is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which could be likely named – the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge 2 (or something else) but is currently known internally as the Project Zen.
Project Zen would see the Galaxy Note Edge successor digress in terms of specs details from the real Galaxy Note 5. It is expected to sport a Dual-Curved 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and would be powered by an Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. It is expected to have 16GB sapce of internal storage, 16MP rear camera with OIS, 8MP front camera and the customary S Pen used on the Galaxy Note series.
Nothing is concrete yet on both smartphone as they are still in development stage and their launch date is still months away (at the IFA 2015 very likely), so things could change for real.
