Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would feature USB Type-C, UFS memory and 4100mAh battery

Earlier today, Sony dropped the hint it won’t be adopting the USB Type-C connector for its smartphone until it became a household theme. If the Galaxy Note 5 Ends up with the feature and it becomes very successful, maybe the Japanese company would have a change of mind.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would come with a more distinct standard – the USB 3.1 Type-C connector which supposedly leverage the power of the USB 3.1 Standard and the USB Type-C connector. One of the pros of this effect is that it makes devices charge faster.

Going further, the rumour mill has some supposedly specs of the upcoming device. The Galaxy Note 5 would now have a 5.89-inch display with the resolution expected to be still QHD as 4K is said to be very unrealistic for now. Compared to the Galaxy Note 4’s 8.5mm in thinness, the Note 5 is said to be 7.9 mm thin.

Under the hood, the device would be powered by the Exynos 7422 which is said to be a modified version of the Exynos 7420 which debut on the Galaxy S6 flagships. Samsung would also employ the UFS 2.0 internal storage on the high-end phablet.

The S-Pen stylus would be much more improved and it is expected to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (it is highly unlikely the phablet would come with Android M). The battery capacity is also said to receive a bump, from 3220mAh to 4100mah battery capacity.

The IFA Event in Berlin has birthed the announcement of the Galaxy Note flagship, so we expected the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to be announced at the event in September. The specs are not final yet and there is still much time for the specs to change…
