Samsung is reportedly gearing up for the release of the next Galaxy Phablet, which has surfaced in various leaks and rumours. According to various sources, the Galaxy Note 7 will succeed the Galaxy Note 5, not the Galaxy Note 6 as expected and the presence of an Iris Scanner is all but confirmed.
By opting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is said to have skipped to Note 6 to bring the naming of the Note series in line with the S series flagships to avoid confusion. However, we could also deduce the company has an eye on the iPhone 7 (and 7 Plus) expected to launch in September.
The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to have curved Dual EDGE display, looking like a cross of the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 5. It should retain the all metal build along with dust and water resistant (IP68 certified) and run a new Note UX version of the Android based TouchWiz.
