The Samsung Galaxy Note5 is already selling in select markets across the world, while some markets are getting the single SIM variant, others are getting Dual SIM variant. Based on the company’s naming convention – the Dual SIM variant of the Note5 should be called the Samsung Galaxy Note5 Duos.
The Samsung Galaxy Note5 Duos has been certified on TENAA with the model name – SM-N9208 on 31st August. As expected the device comes with an additional SIM slot making two but the non-presence of a microSD slot is confirmed.
The specs are the same as the regular Single SIM Note5 variant; it sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display paired with Octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, measures 153.1 x 76.1 x 7.6mm in dimensions and weighs 169 grams.
With Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with Samsung TouchWiz UI ontop, the Samsung Galaxy Note5 Duos has a rear facing 16MP main camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity (LTE Cat.6 and Cat.9), fingerprint scanner, 3000mAh battery and the Stylus Pen.
Samsung had to push back the launch of the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ to have a head-start in sales to be able to surpass the upcoming iPhones (iPhone 6s and 6s Plus) which are launching today (September 9th).
