Samsung has taken the wraps off the two new smartphones in the previously rumoured Galaxy O (or On) series – the Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7. The former comes in Black and Gold colours while the latter comes in White and Gold Options; but no word on pricing yet.
Both the Samsung Galaxy On5 and the Samsung Galaxy On7 are the same and different in some aspects. The phones are basically entry-level phone with beautiful design, metal body build and for the Chinese markets, Samsung is also adding the Milk Music service to sweeten things.
Starting with the similarities, both device sports a front facing 5MP f/2.2 camera, have Dual SIM slots, run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slots, 1.5GB of RAM and support for standard connectivity options including 4G LTE connectivity.
Now to the differences, the Samsung Galaxy On5 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a quad-core Exynos 3475 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU and rear facing 8MP f/2.2 main camera with LED flash.
It measures 142.3 x 72.1 x 8.5mm in dimensions, weighs 149 grams and is backed by a 2600mAh battery.
On the other hand, the phablet sized Samsung Galaxy On7 sports a 5.5-inch HD display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and rear facing 13MP main camera with LED flash.
It measures 151.8 x 77.5 x 8.2mm in dimensions, weighs 172 grams and is backed by 3000mAh battery.
