The upcoming Samsung Galaxy On Series devices – the Galaxy On7 2016 (SM-G6100) and Galaxy On5 2016 (SM-G5700) smartphones have been certified in China by Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA, meaning they are not far from launch.
The listing which has both the specifications as well as the images confirms the presence of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and the body design remains the same as their predecessor. The home button is expected to be embedded with the fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD TFT display, powered by an Octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in expandable storage space and is backed by a 3300mAh battery. It features 13MP/8MP front and rear cameras camera, measures 151.5 × 74.9 × 8.0mm and weighs 166.7 grams.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy On5 2016 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TFT display, powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core processor and is backed by a 2600mAh battery. The cameras, memory and storage virtually remain the same. It measures 142.8 × 69.6 × 8.1mm and weighs 142 grams.
As expected, the 2016 editions of the Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5 support 4G LTE connectivity and are likely to be released in select markets alongside China. Expected colour options include Gold, Pink Gold, Black and Metallic Gold.
