Pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, both the Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 and Galaxy On5 2016 are said to be the rebranded version of the India-bound Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime, respectively. The line had already been upgraded earlier this year with the Galaxy On7 Pro and Galaxy On5 Pro.
The Galaxy On7 2016 is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It packs a 5.5-inch FHD display, Dual SIM slots (Nano + Nano), 13MP main camera, front 8MP selfie camera and 4G LTE connectivity.
The front home button houses the fingerprint sensor while the 3300mAh battery with fast charging, is in charge off keeping the light on. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 167 grams and comes in Black, Gold and Pink colour options. Pricing starts at CNY 1599 (US$ 240).
The Samsung Galaxy On5 2016, on the other hand, is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and will have a 5-inch display. There is no word on availability and pricing in China.
