Samsung has taken the wraps off its new flagships – the Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G and Galaxy S21 Ultra at the virtual Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event. The phones are accompanied by the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and new Galaxy SmartTag/SmartTag+ locators, which allows the user to locate personal items with the tags on SmartThings Find.
Powered by a 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor with built-in 5G modem (either the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100), the trio feature Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (10Hz (S21 Ultra)/48Hz (S21/S21+) – 120Hz), HDR10+ certified, Gorilla Glass Victus protection and Eye Comfort Shield to reduce eye fatigue. They all come pre-loaded with One UI 3 (based on Android 11).
For security purposes, they are secured by the Samsung Knox Vault and feature a new Private Share function to limit access to the phone’s content. The rest of the specs include Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor, IP68-rating (water resistance), 8GB RAM (LPDDR5) with 128GB or 256GB storage, Ultra-Wideband (UWB – S21+ and S21 Ultra), NFC + MST, 25W fast wired charging and 15W Qi Wireless charging.
