To complement the launch of Singapore SingTel’s world first commercial 300Mbps 4G LTE Advanced service (Singapore 4G LTE-A), Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ for Singapore. The Galaxy S5 4G+ differs slightly from the Galaxy S5 LTE-A; the latter features a WQHD Super AMOLED (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and 3GB of RAM while the latter features a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and 2GB of RAM.
Except for the two changes the Galaxy S5 4G+ has all the features the flagship Galaxy S5 has with its heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor, S Health, Download booster, Ultra power saving mode, Private mode, Kids mode and IP67 certified (dust proof and water resistance).
Detailing the specs, the Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ features a 5.1-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (up to 128GB via microSD card slot, 16MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and 2800mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ would be available for prices ranging from 0 to $688 (Singapore Dollars) on SingTel network plans on August 23rd. The device is available in Shimmery White, charcoal Black, Electric Blue and Copper Gold colour variants. Samsung is expected to also debut the Samsung Galaxy Alpha 4G+ in Singapore by september.
