Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A for Korean markets – Features, Specs and Price

Samsung has taken the wraps off another variant of the flagship Galaxy S5, with the rugged Galaxy S5 Active, unconfirmed Galaxy S5 Prime and the unconfirmed Galaxy S5 Mini all known already, the new variant is dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A in Korea. The new variant has an improved processor, improved RAM, higher resolution display and improved data speed with its LTE-A support.

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A

The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A features a QHD Super AMOLED display (2560×1440), 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, 16MP rear camera, 2MP front facing camera and 2800mAh battery. The smartphone is also Dust and water proof, features a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner and supports LTE-A network.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A measures 142.0 x 72.5 x 8.1mm, weighs 145g, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top and powered by a 2800mAh battery.

The main differences between the Galaxy S5 LTE-A and the Galaxy S5 is primarily the LTE-A network support which is currently only available in selected countries and 3 times faster than the standard LTE at 255Mbps. Other differences is the former has a 3GB RAM as against 2GB of the latter, improved chipset with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 as against the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 of the latter. Apart from all theses differences stated, all other specifications are basically the same.
