Samsung Brazil has quietly listed a new device on its version of the Samsung website; the device in question is the Samsung Galaxy S5 New Edition. It is available in Charcoal Black, Copper Gold and Titanium Grey colour options for a price tag yet to disclosed.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 New Edition is the Galaxy S5 Neo for Brazil; asides the change of name, nothing much has changed about the device. It sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), powered by an octa-core Exynos 7580 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Users have approximately 16GB of internal storage for files and there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. Connectivity options on the device includes – GPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.1 LE, USB 2.0, ANT+, NFC, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct and 4G LTE.
Measuring 142 x 72.5 x 8.1mm in dimensions and weighing 145 grams, the Samsung Galaxy S5 New Edition has Dual SIM slots and runs Android OS (Lollipop). Photography is handled by a 16MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.
Brazilians wouldn’t be getting the Digital TV here but they would get a Fingerprint Sensor and Heart Rate Sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S5 New Edition is backed by a removable 2800mAh battery which assures up to 15 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 73 hours of Audio Playback time.
