Obviously with no fanfare, Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S5 Plus – a variant of the flagship Galaxy S5 family with Snapdragon 805 Soc in the Netherlands. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus brings better and improved performance and faster LTE connectivity. Samsung has not officially announced the device but we will keep our ears to the ground to see any development.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus comes with support for the advanced 4G+ LTE connectivity and a powerful Snapdragon 805 chip with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 420 GPU compared to the 4G LTE and Snapdragon 801 chipset on the Galaxy S5. The other major change is the inclusion of 4G+ LTE connectivity moving the 150Mbps on the former to 300Mbps but the uplink still stays at 50Mbps.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is identical to the flagship version with its – 5.1-inch 1080p Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 16MP camera with 4K video function, 2MP front camera and a 2800mAh battery.
The device still keep its dust and water proof (IP67); measures 142 x 72.5 x8.1mm; weighs 145 grams; S Health, Heart Rate Monitor, Power Saving Mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode, the fingerprint sensor on the home button amongst others. The fingerprint scanner helps secure the device and in conjunction with the Paypal app serves as a payment solution.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is available in Gold, Blue, Black and White colour options.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is already available in Netherlands in Black, Blue, White and Gold colour options. According to reliable sources, the Black and White model with 16GB storage cost €539.99 while the Gold colour option with the same storage capacity (16GB) will cost around €589.99.
