A more premium version of the Samsung Galalxy S5 has surfaced online with high-end specs. Several sources reported that a there would be a variant of the Flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (SM-G906S). The main specs of the Galaxy S5 Prime has been spotted on a Hong Kong pricing database.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is said to feature a 5.1-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution) display, powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM which is a significant increase on the Samsung Galaxy S5 which featured a Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM.
According to the source, the Galaxy S5 Prime would run on Android 4.4.3 kitkat which as at press time is officially unavailable , 3GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB with micro SD support, 16MP CMOS rear camera, 2MP front camera. Connectivity features listed include Bluetooth, NFC, Micro USB, LTE and Wi-Fi.
Availability of the device is unknown for now, with some sources reporting it would be available as a limited edition. But according to the Hong Kong price data base, the price was listed as $5020 Hong Kong dollars which is equivalent to $650 US dollars (around N115,000 in Nigerian Naira).
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime spots similar screen resolution with the LG G3 (LG Isai FL in Japan); both phones are expected to debut around the same time.
